Vicki Thomas is one of South Africa’s finest botanical artists. She has taught botanical art through the University of Cape Town’s Summer School and has regular courses around South Africa. Her artwork is in prestigious collections around the world, including two rose paintings for the Highgrove Florilegium depicting plants from HRH Prince Charles’s garden. She also has paintings in Dr. Shirley Sherwood’s private collection, which are featured in one of her books on contemporary botanical artwork.

Her work has been published in many scientific journals around the world. She has gold and silver medals for her botanical artwork and has depicted rare and endangered plants from Southern Africa. Vicki’s artwork has been featured in exhibitions in London, the USA and South Africa. She is a founder member and past chairperson of the Botanical Artists’ Association of Southern Africa.
