Stanley Seagrief was Professor of Botany at Rhodes University,Grahamstown, R.S.A.  He specialised in the study of S.A.Seaweeds. His botanical knowledge allied to his ability to draw,and his talent for expressing his acute observations
through the medium of water colour,all contributed to these fine Botanical Illustrations.

These works of Art were awarded (posthumously) a Silver medal at the Inaugural Kirstenbosch Exhibition of Botanical Art in February 2000. Because the original illustrations are of such high quality and meticulous detail,it has been possible to produce prints ranging in size from A3 (size of the original paintings) up to
100cms(length) x 72cms(width).

The best quality paper and ink has been used.
